Jalalie

Jalalie started her professional life as a banker, but transitioned into the operations and human resources field eight years ago.

Her career in human resources got its start when she joined Ethiojobs, one of the leading resourcing firms, after which she moved to Access Groups as Executive Assistant to the CEO and VP – Human Resources and Administration and was directly involved in the establishment of Zemen Bank and acquisition of sister companies.

After a challenging as well as professionally rewarding experience, she joined TechnoServe, under the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, at startup that has impacted the lives of numerous coffee farmers in Ethiopia. In August 2013, after four fulfilling years with Technoserve, Jalalie left TechnoServe to join Diageo, the world’s leading premium drinks manufacturer, as Human Resources Business Partner.

Jalalie gains satisfaction from bringing about improvements and paradigm shifts in work as well as social settings, which is exactly why she joined AWiB, an organization that has a profound impact on women professionals across industries.

Her educational qualifications include a BA in Management with an Accounting minor, in addition to an MBA from Addis Ababa University.

Jalalie is a mother of one son and a big fan of sporting activities.
