Emawayesh is a senior Communication and Event Management specialist with extensive communication experience for more than 8 years.

Emawayesh has led communication programs and activities in the civil society sector.

Her extensive experience in health communication, event management, and PR include: coordinating SBCC (Social and Behavior Change communication) outreaches at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of public health Center for communication AIDS Resource Center, coordinated Behavioral Change Communication activity SBCC at Save the Children – USA, Communication & Documentation as Publication Communication Officer at the Network of Ethiopian Women’s Associations (NEWA) and team leader for the drama tool program at the Ethiopian chapter  of Eastern Africa Theatre Institute.

Emawayesh is the owner and GM of SEBEZ Communication and Event consultancy.

She is married and has a child. She has earned B.A degree in Theatre Arts from the Addis Ababa University and a Master’s degree in Journalism and Mass Communication from Guru Nanak University, Punjab,
