AWiB congratulates the visionary leader Aster Solomon for the recognition of Information Systems Services (ISS) as a Cornerstone Partner at the 2024 Esri Partner Conference (EPC). Esri, a leading American multinational company founded in 1969 has been the global market leader in geographic information system (GIS) software, location intelligence, and mapping. Cornerstone Partner recognition is given to partnering organizations of Esri that have been participating in its partner network for 20 years while consistently focusing on helping customers succeed through the adoption of ArcGIS technology. ISS has been an authorized reseller for Esri’s ArcGIS which led to it being recognized as a cornerstone partner.

ISS was founded by Aster Solomon and Yohannes Debebe in 1996. As a pioneer in the Ethiopian GIS landscape, ISS has grown from offering GIS consultancy services to becoming the nation’s leading provider of comprehensive GIS solutions, encompassing data collection, analysis, training, and software sales. AWiB is excited to see Aster, AWiB’s Female CEO Breakfast Club (FCBC) member receive an international recognition for her contribution to the Ethiopian GIS community. Aster’s contribution goes beyond ISS. She is one of the founders of Enat Bank and served as the Board of Directors for six years. She is also the owner of Mosaic International Hotel and serves New English Private School (NEPS) as the General Manager. Aster is a seasoned professional with a rich experience in establishing and managing businesses and large-scale projects.
