YWCA Ethiopia

“I give you this to take with you: Nothing remains as it was. If you know this, you can begin again, with pure joy in the uprooting.”  ~ Judith MintyLetters to My Daughters~

YWCA Ethiopia, one of the most veteran and strong international associations in Ethiopia has re-organized itself and continued putting its strong contribution in supporting and empowering disadvantaged women of the country.

As part of its new initiation, YWCA Ethiopia has elected young, educated with several combined years of international experiences as board members to take on the new initiatives with vigor and renewed energy. These young and ambitious women are interested to serve the association and achieve what has been lost in the past few years.

The association, having a theme of “Changing Women is Changing the Society” has a great and strong mission of working on empowering young women in every aspect of their life through tapping many different mega projects nationwide.

YWCA was established in 1855 worldwide and 1952 in Ethiopia and since then it has been undertaking a great many of remarkable projects that changed the lives of those from the lowest economic stratum.
