Congratulations to the President of Zam Zam Bank, AWiB’s Ambassador, 2013 Women of Excellence finalist, and AWIB’s FCBC member Ms. Melika Bedri on her well-deserved award from the Commercial Bank of Ethiopia in recognition of her outstanding leadership role. She was given this recognition during the inauguration of the new Commercial Bank headquarters on February 13, 2022.

Prior to her commitment to Zam Zam Bank, Melika had been leading CBE’s finance sector as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for well over 2 years. She climbed her way to power in a sector dominated by men to become one of the most influential people in the financial sector. Melika has served for decades at various high-level positions while working for CBE. Some of the positions include but are not limited to: Vice President of Information Systems, Vice president of Marketing & Research, Executive Assistant to the President, Treasurer, etc.
