“Words cast spells. That’s why it’s called SPELLING.”- Bruce Lee

Words are excellent tools to transcribe our thoughts into the external world to share, communicate, and create. You can be sure to find them as the driving forces behind a relentless pursuit or the reason to stop. Naturally, we tend to grow fond of those who speak kind words to us and avert those who speak words of force or hatred and most often than not, we go after things that we get encouraging words for. Just equally, our inner dialogues and the stories we tell ourselves play the most critical roles in the quality of life we live.

Journaling is among the greatest tools to capture our thought processes, giving a chance to logical reasoning, and making it clearer to see the bigger & real picture. It is an opportunity to re-learn yourself, understand the underlying causes of why you feel the way you feel, or what you really truly want, why you still haven’t acted on the idea or what you would do if given the chance – without judgment and justification. Journaling frames thoughts and brings them to life. It gives a chance for potent ideas that would have otherwise been forgotten.

Upon completion of this RTD, you will:

Reflect on your journaling experiences and challenges
Get a deeper understanding of the importance and benefits of journaling
Learn tips and practices to help you get started with journaling and do it consistently to facilitate life’s journey

This round table discussion (RTD) will be facilitated by Bethelhem Yimer, AWiBer
