Fregenet serves as the Imaging Director at ALERT Hospital, one of Ethiopia’s leading referral and teaching hospitals, providing strategic leadership in diagnostic imaging services. Fregenet oversees imaging operations, quality improvement, team leadership, and service optimization, ensuring timely, patient-centered, and high-quality care that supports better clinical decision-making and improved patient outcomes.

Fregenet, is a visionary healthcare leader, entrepreneur, and public health professional dedicated to transforming healthcare delivery and expanding access to quality medical services in Ethiopia. Fregenet has also contributed to public health programs, including participation in TB treatment initiatives, where she contributed to monitoring, evaluation, and service delivery for complex and vulnerable patient populations.

Her professional interests extend to health technology and artificial intelligence, especially the application of AI in radiology and diagnostics to strengthen health systems through public–private partnerships. She holds a Master’s degree in Public Health (MPH) with a specialization in Monitoring and Evaluation.
