Life Balance Recap

On December 27, a reflective and engaging session on Life Balance and Life Alignment was facilitated by Aster Asfaw. The discussion emphasized that work or career is only one part of a fulfilling life. True life balance is not about allocating equal time to every aspect of life, but about alignment, understanding your priorities, values, and current season, and creating harmony around them.
Life alignment invites us to ask not “Am I doing everything equally?” but “Am I living in line with what truly matters right now?” The balance that works for one person may not work for another, and that’s okay.
Life Balance Recap
- Set Boundaries – Learn to say no and protect your time and energy.
- Prioritize Intentionally – Focus on what aligns with your values and long-term goals.
- Seek Support and Delegate Tasks: Build networks that help with household, caregiving, or emotional needs.
- Share Responsibilities Equitably – Avoid taking on an unfair share at work or home.
- Avoid People-Pleasing – Honor your own needs instead of constantly trying to please others.
