AWiB proudly presents the 2026 President: Tsion Gebremedhen, Senior Post Award Coordinator at Cure Blindness Project. Through her work she supports eye health programs across Africa and Asia. Grounded in a holistic approach to community well-being, Tsion’s passion for self-improvement continues to equip her with the skill to continuously create spaces where others can thrive. As AWiB steps into 2026 with the theme “From Potential to Performance: Agency in Leadership,” her open presence invites dialogue, champions equity, and models agency in action. With excitement and hope, AWiB looks forward to a year that transforms potential to performance under her guidance & representation.

Message from Tsion:

“AWiB is a unique space that gives us an opportunity to consider and discuss topics and ideas we rarely do elsewhere. I have found that these conversations are ones that can help shape future generations, encouraging us to sit in our discomfort as we grow and evolve as women, and men. While each of us is unique with different living experiences, we are all part of a collective that shapes our reality. I see AWiB as an invaluable and rare platform that can support us to build community, and more specifically as women, to build sisterhood.
