We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Manager with a proven track record in managing international development projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working with donors, writing successful grant proposals, and a wide network within the donor and funding sector. The Senior Project Manager will play a crucial role in leading and overseeing projects, ensuring their successful implementation, and contributing to the growth and sustainability of our programs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Leadership:

• Lead the planning, implementation, and evaluation of projects.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, ensuring timelines and milestones are met.
• Provide strategic guidance to project teams to maximize impact and outcomes.

• Grant Writing and Fundraising:

• Identify funding opportunities and cultivate relationships with potential donors within the AWIB sector.
• Develop compelling grant proposals, ensuring alignment with donor requirements and organizational goals.
• Manage the grant application process from inception to submission, including budget development.

• Stakeholder Engagement:

• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including donors, partners, and local communities.
• Represent the organization at relevant conferences, forums, and networking events.

• Monitoring and Evaluation:

• Establish monitoring and evaluation frameworks to track project progress and impact.
• Implement regular assessments and evaluations, incorporating feedback to enhance project effectiveness.

• Capacity Building:

• Mentor and support project teams, fostering a collaborative and learning-oriented environment.
• Provide training to enhance the skills and capacities of staff and partners.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in a relevant field (International Development, Project Management, etc.).
• Proven experience (7 years) in managing international development projects within the leadership sector.
• Demonstrated success in writing winning grant proposals and securing funding from various donors.
• Strong leadership and project management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Desirable:

• Extensive network within the donor and funding sector related to AWIB initiatives.
