This February, AWiB presents “Collaborative Leadership: The Power of One.” The power of one can represent two meanings: one individual whose commitment to fostering collaboration ignites a process that shapes a collective “one,” a unified force that moves toward a shared goal. This is not about a lone hero, but about a leader’s ability to initiate and champion an inclusive culture that honors and amplifies every voice.
This March, AWiB presents “My Voice Matters” in collaboration with Timran. Timran is an indigenous not-for-profit organization whose vision is to see an Ethiopia in which women take their legitimate space in public decision-making and the nation’s political affairs. This vision springs from a very strong belief that women’s utmost participation both to lead and contribute their fair share will help bring about a different way of shaping public policy and building a peaceful, inclusive, and prosperous nation.
In the wild, a herd of wildebeest will plunge into a river not because the waters are safe, but because the bodies first in line jumped in. Momentum replaces judgment; fear wears the mask of unity, and even those who sense danger are carried forward by the weight of the many.
