Sales is a term used to describe the activities that lead to some sort of transaction – the selling or exchange of goods or services. This session will focus on enhancing personal selling quality, not only in terms of selling goods and services but also in terms of how we carry ourselves through life.
Sales is a crucial skill that turns followers into leaders, small organizations into big organizations with greater impact and small businesses into mega-corporations. It involves listening to prospective clients or customers, understanding their wants and needs to find out what they’re looking for and offering them solutions, benefits or recommendations. Rather than persuading someone to purchase something, selling is focused on meeting their needs.
Improving our Sales skills is all about enhancing our personal selling quality. Selling isn’t necessarily monetarily all the time; it can be having others to contribute to your purpose in different ways. At the core of sales, we find effective communication. By articulating and communicating our visions clearly and effectively, we can influence and inspire others into action. Competence, likability and luck also add a tremendous boost to sales.
