“Religion is a belief in someone else’s experience. Spirituality is having your own experience.”Deepak Chopra

Religion is an institutionalized system with a set of rules, regulations, ceremonies and rituals developed by humans with the aim of creating conformity and uniformity in the approach to God. Spirituality is God’s calling within your very being. Religion is organized, while spirituality is a personal relationship with the Divine. Both are paths to God but are different when it comes to the approaches within them.

Spirituality focuses on experiencing internal divinity; religion focuses on obeying or devotion to an external divinity. Spirituality is oneness oriented (We are all one) and religion is duality oriented (right/wrong, good/evil, heaven/hell). Both are ways of looking for a higher truth but look for it in completely different places.

Upon completion of this RTD, you will:

Understand the meanings & differences between experience & belief, fear & love
Reflect on the inquiry, “Where is God?”
Identify the differences of outer worship vs inner worship, one true religion vs universality

This RTD will be facilitated by AWiB, a membership-driven organization that unleashes potential through networking platforms.
