Studies show that individuals with political skills tend to do better in gaining more personal power as well as managing stress and job demands, than their politically naive counterparts. They also have a greater impact on organizational outcomes.

Office politics is the informal ways people try to exercise influence in organizations through managing shared meanings & organizational cultures. It includes activities performed by individuals to improve their status and advance their personal agenda – sometimes at the expense of others. Office politics is an area with the nature of actual political behavior in regards to the types of tactics, strategies, and their consequences. Since office politics is unavoidable in today’s world, gaining some knowledge about it may come handy at any time.

Upon completion of this seminar, you will:

Understand what office politics means & why it exists

Identify the common types and the pros & cons of office politics

Learn possible means to make office politics work for you instead of against you

This workshop will be facilitated by “Self-Reconciliation”, a reputable regular symposium that takes place in Addis Ababa.
