Non-defensive communication is a communication style that involves engaging in a conversation without blaming the other party or triggering a sense of threat. It is a sincere communication style we can use to make statements, ask questions, and solve problems smoothly.

Non-defensive communication is a skill that can be practiced and improved through time. It involves not only the actual verbal message but also body language, tone of voice, and perceived meaning and intention. It is a communication style that creates a supportive climate. It is an important skill that we can practice to improve our communication skills as well as our relationships at home and in the workplace.

Upon completion of this seminar, you will:

Understand the meaning of non-defensive communication
Identify the different communication styles that we encounter on a daily basis
Learn how we can start practicing non-defensive communication
Get tips on how to practice channeling the communication styles used by others to non-defensive communication

This Seminar will be facilitated by the Project Officer EGST’s Faith Leaders Capacity Development Project
