The session opened with an honest conversation about why sisterhood matters. Women thrive when they feel seen, heard, and surrounded by those who understand their journey. The facilitator talked about the components that make sisterhood meaningful: empathy, advocacy, collaboration, trust, joy, and giving love generously.

the session began with grounding questions like “What is your purpose in life?” and “What controls your time?” These questions helped members look at whether their daily habits align with their goals, values, and personal direction. The session emphasized that time management isn’t just a set of techniques—it’s a mindset rooted in clarity, priorities, and self-awareness.

Marketing essentials, the dimensions of selling, and the full personal selling process from prospecting to follow-up were discussed using practical frameworks from Brian Tracy and Chet Holmes. Qualities of high-performing salespeople, including persistence, confidence, empathy, and preparation, were examined alongside techniques for strengthening mindset and confidence.

The discussion covered emotional triggers such as fear of loss, longing, and the belief that what we have might be taken away. Cognitive patterns like overestimating oneself or thinking others are ahead also contribute to feeling like nothing is enough. Social comparison was highlighted as a major factor, especially in Ethiopia, where people often feel pressured to keep up with others

The room shifted when we began discussing the MVP—Minimum Viable Product.
The idea felt empowering: you don’t need a big launch, a fancy office, or large savings. You can start with the smallest version of your idea and refine it with feedback.

In this roundtable discussion, AWiB members gathered to explore a topic that affects every part of our daily lives: setting boundaries. We often struggle to say “No,” especially to the people we care about. Maybe a friend calls during work hours, or we agree to plans even when we’re exhausted not because we want to, but because we feel we can’t refuse. This session encouraged us to pause and ask ourselves Why?

The workshop expertly balanced foundational art theory with hands-on practice. Hana introduced the 8 principles like composition, color theory, and balance. She provided a clear, structured framework for our creative exploration. This foundation came alive as we delved into color mixing and brush techniques, transforming blank palettes and canvases into fields of possibility.
