It all starts with a CIRCLE!

It all starts with the transformative weekend sessions. AWiB offers over 60 sessions each year covering topics that are essential for both personal and professional growth. These discussions tackle issues that often go unspoken but have a powerful impact on our progress, either holding us back or propelling us forward. What makes AWiB’s sessions unique is the intimate setting in a judgement free space that fosters open and honest dialogue. Every participant has the opportunity to share their story and gain practical tools to navigate challenges. These sessions create a supportive environment, where the women realize they aren’t alone. With nearly 1,000 eye-opening sessions held so far, AWiB has become a safe space where members feel free to express their challenges, triumphs, aspirations, and frustrations. Many AWiBers have shared how these sessions helped them uncover the deeper “why” behind their life experiences leading to powerful revelations and personal breakthroughs.

Then the NETWORK!

AWiB, approaching HER 15th anniversary, has built a strong network that has become a cornerstone of Addis Ababa’s community. Central to this is the monthly networking events at the Hilton Hotel, which foster growth and connection among AWiBers as well as other women and men participants. These events encourage attendees to step outside their comfort zones, engage with new people, and discover emerging talents and leaders. AWiB not only brings prominent figures to interact with the community but also highlights lesser-known people making impactful contributions. With over 150 of these monthly networking events held so far, AWiB has become a key platform for forming lasting friendships and business partnerships.

The Critical Mass!

Today, AWiB celebrates a remarkable milestone: as of December 31, 2024, there are over 500 AWiBers with active membership status. This growing network is a testament to the power of a shared vision. With 500 current members, AWiB has reached a critical mass, and these women will not only spread the word but also ignite change in their own circles, guiding others toward growth. AWiB looks ahead with excitement and knowledge that these women will play a pivotal role in driving positive transformation within our community and beyond.

“We don’t train leadership, we live it” is a statement that AWiB instills in HER every interaction. This core belief empowers AWiBers to embody leadership in their daily lives. AWiB’s message is clear: everyone is a leader, and every day offers a chance to practice conscious leadership. The call to action is simple yet powerful: “Lead from the inside out!”
