Zenbil Recap

The Zenbil session at the AWIB Resource Center began as a vital release, facilitated by AWIB staff and Dina, a psychologist and anthropologist. The women were guided through a physical exercise to relax their bodies, stretch, and, most importantly, scream to let out the feelings that had been lingering within them. This powerful start created a safe and open atmosphere, preparing everyone for the deep introspection to come.
The core of the session revolved around the zenbil, a collection of thought-provoking questions. Participants took turns picking questions, prompting everyone to reflect and share personal experiences on a wide range of topics, including wisdom, fear, and personal finance. Dina enriched these discussions by providing her psychological and anthropological perspective, which helped frame our shared experiences. As one question ended and another began, the participants grew more invested, finding common ground and a powerful sense of shared understanding in their stories.
For the final activity, the group broke into smaller circles, each given a zenbil question to delve into more deeply. These intimate discussions sparked passionate conversations on topics like marriage and mimicry. The session concluded with a final round of sharing, where every participant had the opportunity to voice their key takeaways. It was a profound experience that not only provided emotional release but also fostered a strong sense of community and collective wisdom among all the women present.
