On Saturday afternoon, January 11, 2025, AWiBers attended a seminar titled ‘Leading You in the Digital Age’ facilitated by Helina Abye, Communication Lead at AWiB. The world today requires us to be digitally proficient in our personal and professional lives, especially as leaders in our community. In the seminar, Helina outlined how using digital tools can increase our decision-making, efficiency and collaboration.  

The attendees participated in different practical exercises to guide them in learning about digital tools. Attendees filled out the digital applications they know and use, this helped introduce the group to different tools. 

Helina then delved into the benefits and how to use tools such as Google Workspace, Canva, Loom, Calendly, Trello among others. Participants actively engaged with the tools using their smartphones and submitted their questions and comments using Slido which enhanced their practical knowledge of these tools.
