Unyielding Commitment: The Heart of AWiB

AWiB is on a mission to elevate more women to take on leadership roles in different sectors and we’re thrilled to highlight the Haset Women Leadership Program! This one-year pilot, initiated by the Packard Foundation, developed by Emerge PLC, and implemented by AWiB is already transforming leadership and unlocking women’s potential. Since its launch in February 2024, the first cohort has made remarkable strides on their leadership journeys. Let’s celebrate the impact of Haset and AWiB’s unyielding commitment to bring women to leadership in all aspects!
Haset is dedicated to addressing the gender gap in CSO leadership. It is inspired by research conducted by the Packard Foundation that identified key challenges: limited networking, visibility, lack of sisterhood and self-promotion. This initiative enhances women’s leadership skills sets and forge strong sisterhood bonds through engaging them in club meetings and transformative training sessions. At its annual summit, May 2025, participants celebrate achievements and uplift one another, showcasing the power of authenticity and leadership in action.
AWiB was selected to be the implementing party for its core belief in the power of collective action, for HER consistency and excellence in creating a supportive community that stood the test of time. Witnessing the success of the program in AWiB’s hands, Packard foundation funded the program to accept a second cohort. Over 150 applications were submitted, out of which 42 were selected & they will be enrolled in the program in January 2025. AWiB celebrates the success of yet another program that provides the platform where women leaders unleash their potentials.
