Congratulations to Sr. Asayech Yirega for her incredible work and dedication in establishing a home at Acacia Village for special needs children. Sr. Asayech is the Founder & Executive Director of Tikuret Lesetoch Ena Lehitsanat Mahiber (TLLM), an association dedicated to supporting special needs children & their mothers.

The newly built center at Acacia Village around Haile Garment will be inaugurated on October 3, 2024, at the center with invited guests from different sectors who support the initiative.

What makes this event extraordinary is that it is a celebration of the inauguration of Sr. Asayech’s first vision – a G+2 building and the establishment of the foundation of her next one – a G+9 building. The new building will highly contribute to the holistic approach of TLLM by providing income-generating opportunities for mothers of the special needs. Sr. Asayech believes that is the way to create a lasting impact within the community.

Over the years, TTLM has made a significant impact, assisting more than twelve thousand orphaned and special needs children and their mothers in rented premises. In their new home, the children enjoy individual bedrooms, specially equipped with features that cater to their special needs. It has a designated study room complemented by a dining area where they all share meals as a community. Beyond providing residential facilities, this center includes a school, clinic, and physiotherapy center. It also has a playground and swimming pool to further enhance their overall wellness.
