Meet the 2026 Board Members
Tsion Gebremedhen, President
Tsion currently serves as a Senior Post Award Coordinator at Cure Blindness Project, where she supports programs across Africa and Asia that bolster national and local eye health care systems as well as lead outreach cataract surgery campaigns, restoring vision for thousands.
Dr. Bethelhem Birhanu, President Elect
Bethelhem is a young talented physician who is currently the administrative assistant to the provost’s office at St. Pauls’ Hospital Millennium Medical College (SPHMMC). Her primary responsibilities include assisting the provost with the implementation of the strategic plan, overseeing the college’s academic and service provision, and supervising the provost office’s activities.
Semeret Demeke, Secretary
Semeret is a Country Director for Tabitha Reach, an international NGO. Semeret is passionate about Africa’s development. She firmly believes that education and strong families are the cornerstones of a robust society. Her dedication to this cause has been the guiding light through her journey.
Enanu Makonnen
Enanu Makonnen is a Human Resources professional with extensive experience and management skills. She serves as the HR Functional Advisor at Ethio Telecom. Prior to joining Ethio Telecom, she worked as a Human Resources professional at the Ministry of Mines and Energy, and Board of Trustee for Public Enterprises.
Milky Mamo
Milky is the visionary founder and General Manager of Efoy Nanny and Housekeeping Training Center, a social enterprise established in April 2021. Efoy is dedicated to providing high-quality childcare training for women, including returnees, refugees, high school dropouts, and college graduates.
Yetnayet Beyene
Yetnayet serves as a Legal Director at Dashen Breweries. Driven by her core principles of resilience, courage, personal growth, integrity, and inclusivity, she is dedicated to creating positive and impactful changes. Her vision is to foster an environment where her team feels empowered to express their ideas, embrace challenges, and view setbacks as opportunities for growth.
Blen Darios Mody
Blen is a dedicated development professional with a passion for promoting gender equality and social justice. With a strong foundation in project management, training, and community engagement, Blen has a proven track record of delivering impactful programs that empower marginalized communities.
Hanan Ali Hassen
Hanan serves as Head of HIT (EMR) Unit at St. Paul’s Hospital Millennium Medical College. She is an enthusiastic Medical Doctor with Master’s in public health. Her passion lies in providing quality tech-based health service to the community.
Sosena Shiferaw Ayneye
Sosena is a development professional with nearly two decades of experience empowering communities, particularly those facing the challenges of urban poverty. Sosena serves as Country Director for Hope for Korah, a role she find deeply fulfilling.
