Yididya serves as a Program Lead at Network of Ethiopian Women Association (NEWA), as a gender expert and women’s rights advocate, advancing social accountability, gender equality, and community empowerment. She has 16 years of experience managing diverse programs and portfolios with a focus on strategy development, capacity building, and advocacy.
Her professional expertise includes program design, planning, coordination, implementation, and monitoring of donor-funded initiatives, with strong skills in community participation and stakeholder engagement. Yididya is also highly experienced in communication, public relations, training delivery, and the development of training manuals to strengthen organizational and community capacities.
She also serves as a master trainer in areas including gender transformation, women’s empowerment, young women leadership, GBV prevention, disaster risk management, psychosocial support, life skills, and leadership development. Her work is driven by a deep commitment to empowering youth, women, and communities and creating meaningful, sustainable social impact. Yididya holds a Master’s degree in Social Work.
