Shemselkemer serves as a Socio-Economic Empowerment Officer at Hope for Korah, where she focuses on advancing socio-economic empowerment and strengthening community resilience. She began her journey with the organization as a Family Social Worker, working to empower women and support families within the community.
In her previous positions working as a Social Worker she gained valuable experience in community development and philanthropic service. Her early professional career in education as an English language teacher, teaching at both government and private schools, also helped her develop strong communication and mentoring skills.
Shemselkemer is actively involved in initiatives that promote women’s socio-economic empowerment, community engagement, and capacity building. She is motivated by a desire to serve vulnerable populations and is recognized for her leadership, teamwork, and dedication to creating meaningful, lasting impact.
She holds Bachelor’s degrees in English Language and Sociology & Social Work, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Teaching (PGDT) in Pedagogy.
