Kalkidan serves as the Undergraduate Clinical Coordinator in the Department of Pediatrics and Child Health at St. Paul Hospital Millennium Medical College.
She is a Mandela Washington Alumni and a STAR Scholar, with extensive leadership experience across Ethiopia’s health system. Her roles have included Chief Resident, Unit Head, and Undergraduate Program Coordinator, contributing to clinical governance, medical education, and service quality improvement.
In addition to her academic and clinical leadership, Dr. Kalkidan is a medical content creator and a dedicated advocate for Early Childhood Development (ECD). She actively engages the public on the importance of nurturing care, child development, and evidence-based parenting through accessible and impactful education.
Dr. Kalkidan is respected for her integrity, strategic leadership, and unwavering commitment to improving systems that support children, families, and health professionals in Ethiopia and beyond.
Kalkidan holds an MD and a postgraduate specialization in Pediatrics and Child Health from Tikur Anbesa Comprehensive Hopsital, Addis Ababa University (AAU).
