Biruktawit serves as the Public Relations Officer at The Children’s Heart Fund of  Ethiopia (CHFE), a nonprofit organization dedicated to saving the lives of children with heart disease. In this position, she leads organizational communication,  advocacy, partnership development, and public engagement to advance CHFE’s  life saving mission. She is a medical doctor and public health professional dedicated to improving community health and advancing equitable access to healthcare services  in Ethiopia.

She has worked as a General Practitioner in both public and governmental hospitals, providing clinical care, leading patient-centered services, and contributing to the improvement of healthcare quality. She later expanded her expertise into the health marketing sector, engaging in health communication and awareness-building initiatives to promote public health. 

Biruktawit holds a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree and is currently pursuing  a Master of Public Health (MPH) in Epidemiology.
