Hawi serves as a team leader for the Family Assistance Program at the International Organization for Migration (IOM) monitoring the implementation of the family reunification operations, devising ways to improve efficiency and effectiveness and proactively evaluating the progress of projects to ensure the effectiveness of the program.
She has many years of experience in social work and project management in various local and international NGOs. She has extensive knowledge and advocacy skills in child protection interventions and technical and managerial support spanning over 10 years. Hawi is always ready to learn new things and never stopped working on career development. She is enthusiastic about volunteering in child protection and migration issues and enjoys working in a diverse and dynamic environment.
Hawi holds a BA in applied psychology from the University of Gondar and an MA in Developmental Psychology from Addis Ababa University.
