The Effect of Childhood Trauma

Childhood trauma is more than a painful memory, it is an experience that shapes the very way a child sees the world and themselves within it. It arises when moments of deep fear, loss, or helplessness become too heavy for a young heart to carry. Whether through the sudden loss of a parent, the chaos of disaster, or the quiet ache of separation, these experiences leave lasting imprints that echo through one’s emotional, physical, spiritual, and social being.

To understand childhood trauma is to recognize how the past can quietly weave itself into the present & how unhealed pain can influence the way we connect, trust, and love. Healing begins when we have the courage to look within and give voice to the parts of us that were once silenced by fear.

This seminar is led by Erk Mead Mental Health Service, that disseminates information to the public through their radio show by the same name.

Upon completion of this seminar, you will:

  • Identify the causes of their traumatic experiences & coping mechanisms
  • Become aware of negative emotional triggers
  • Understand the causes of depression, anxiety, and anger

This seminar will be facilitated by Senait Temesgen, Mental Health Practitioner
