The Burden of Greed

Greed often whispers to us as ambition. It disguises itself as a quest for security, convincing us that just a little more will finally be enough. But this desire for excessive more whether wealth, power, validation, or control is a weight we were never meant to carry. We see its early shadow in the childhood urge to clutch our toys, and we feel its adult strain in the constant, low-grade anxiety of comparison and scarcity.

Where we compulsively count everything, gripping what we own so tightly that our hands begin to bleed from the strain. This grip doesn’t just strain our hands; it strains our relationships, fuels stress, and builds walls of entitlement that separate us from the empathy and connection we truly crave. Greed is the trap that promises a life of abundance but often delivers one of quiet isolation and perpetual dissatisfaction.

Join us for “The Burden of Greed” to embark on a journey of clarity and liberation. This is an invitation to look inward, to understand the roots of our endless wanting, and to discover how the profound act of letting go can release the burden and bring true peace and fulfilment into your life.

Upon completion of this Round Table Discussion (RTD), you will:

  • Understand the psychological and emotional mechanics of greed, recognizing its many disguises in your daily life
  • Reflect on the true cost of your “wanting” how it impacts your relationships, your mental peace, and your capacity for joy
  • Learn practical tools to identify scarcity mindset, cultivate a practice of sufficiency, and release the grip of compulsion to make room for genuine connection and contentment

This RTD will be facilitated by Dr. Teguest Guerma, Founder & CEO at LeDeG Midwifery
