Stress Management

Stress Management
Stress is a normal human reaction that occurs in everyone from time to time. It is the physical, emotional and intellectual response to different changes or challenges. When a person has long-term (chronic) stress, continued activation of the stress response causes wear and tear on the body. Physical, emotional and behavioral symptoms develop.
Stress is subjective & it cannot be measured with tests. The closest thing used to measure stress levels may be questionnaires by healthcare providers after seeing some symptoms. Only the person experiencing it can determine whether it’s present and how severe it feels. Some people don’t even recognize they have stress until illness makes them pause and notices the discomfort, pressure, and strain. Stress management techniques can help deal with changes & challenges in a healthier way.
