Right listening, also known as active or mindful listening, refers to the practice of fully engaging with and understanding the message of the person speaking. It involves lending our full attention, being present in the moment, and seeking to comprehend the speaker’s words, emotions, and underlying meaning. Right listening goes beyond merely hearing the words; it involves empathy, openness, and non-judgment. 

Right listening fosters effective communication, promotes mutual understanding, and builds trust in personal and professional relationships. It helps create a safe and supportive environment where individuals feel heard, valued, and respected.

Upon completion of this workshop, you will:

Understand what right listening is and why it is important
Learn about the elements of right listening – attention, empathy, non-verbal cues, reflection, tolerance, and summarizing what you heard
Develop mindful presence and empathic understanding 
Identify effective conflict resolution methods through listening and building trust

This workshop will be facilitated by Lead Beyond, an organization that empowers leaders by providing essential tools to navigate change, conflict, and crisis.
