Responsible Leadership
“The price of greatness is responsibility.”—Winston Churchill
Responsible Leadership at its essence is being responsible to carry ourselves and lead our lives. It is only then that we know how to be responsible for others and give back. We are responsible for our existence, our actions, our success and most importantly the contributions we make and the kind of world we will leave behind.
A key element of responsible leadership is having the ability to make informed ethical judgments and decisions while taking in to consideration the existing norms and rules. Responsible leaders should be able to critically question norms and rules instead of blindly accepting. They also have to be prepared to take a stand wherever their boundaries or others’ have been crossed unethically.
