YOU CAN ALSO RSVP BY TEXTING YOUR FULL NAME AND “Generation” TO +251947350259.

Do you ever find it hard to be understood by people from a different age group? The message doesn’t seem to go across and the jokes don’t seem to get a smile. Have you ever felt like the words that are coming out of your mouth and the words going into their ears are completely different?

Intergenerational communication is ubiquitous, we are continuously communicating with people from different age groups. However, there is still a strong potential for miscommunication or unsatisfying intergenerational interactions as people from different age groups vary not only in their life experiences, but also in their communication goals, needs, and behaviors at different points in the lifespan. Age stereotypes and societal expectations can also have a huge influence in intergenerational communication.

Though each of us is unique, the perspectives of people from the same age group may be more aligned than with people from different generations. This may also be impacted by our levels of exposure to media in addition to the dynamic environment that we share. Understanding intergenerational communication will help us navigate the different worlds the people we are communicating with come from.

Upon completion of this seminar, you will:

Understand the characteristics of the different generations and their communication styles
Identify the communication style inherited from your respective generation and the ones gained from your unique personality
Learn ways to improve your communication skills to effectively communicate with people from different generations
Get tips on how to practice different communication channels and styles to improve your relationships

This seminar will be facilitated by Mind Morning Behaviour Training Research and Consultancy
