Oftentimes, managers from non-finance backgrounds struggle with financial decision making. Whether it’s interpreting reports, budgeting, or evaluating investments, this can slow down workflows and hinder informed decision making.

In today’s workplace, understanding finance and its concepts is inescapable. Finance for non-financial managers is about knowing how to read financial statements, understanding the rules & regulations, and communicating effectively with your financial manager.

It is about what sectoral & national changes mean to your business & how to adapt strategically.

AWiB, in collaboration with ACCA Ethiopia, presents a two-part workshop series designed to ease the complexity of finance for non-financial managers. ACCA (The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants), a global body for professional accountants with 219,000 members and 517,000 students in 179 countries.

This workshop is designed for managers, entrepreneurs, business owners, and anyone interested in gaining a deeper understanding of finance.

Outcome

Upon completion of this workshop, you will:

• Learn how to read Financial Statements and interpret the numbers put under assets, liabilities, equity, revenues, expenses, profits & more
• Learn techniques for creating, managing budgets and predicting future financial performance based on historical data and market trends
• Understand how to make financial analysis
• Understand the different types of costs and learn strategies on how to reduce costs
