Becoming an Interesting Conversationalist

Participating in conversation is something humans have a natural inclination for, as it’s how we learn about each other, discuss ideas and fulfill our need for human interaction. Conversation itself is essential to daily life. Being an interesting conversationalist provides a much richer experience for everyone involved since interesting conversation stimulate our brains & encourage creativity.

Whether you’re talking with someone you know or just met, you can practice some basic conversational skills to gain confidence and become open and welcoming. Some qualities exhibited by interesting conversationalists are being respectful, patient, genuinely curious, aware of social cues and are easily approachable by a wide variety of people.

Being an interesting conversationalist is a valuable skill for making connections, fostering relationships and being effective at work. While for some people it seems to come naturally, for many it is a skill that needs to be learned, practices and perfected.

Upon completion of this seminar, you will:

Understand the importance of being a good conversationalist for personal and professional effectiveness
Learn tips and techniques to practice to become an interesting conversationalist
Gain an understanding of how to use conversations as a tool to learn new ideas & perspectives, make connections, resolving problems and more

This seminar will be facilitated by Hanna Atnafu, Senior Advisor, Consultant, and Trainer.
