Jemila is the co-founder & CEO of Nexus Physiotherapy and Stroke Rehabilitation Specialized Clinics PLC. She is a physiotherapy expert and an entrepreneur who has been recognized by several national and international organizations including the Ministry of Health and the World Physiotherapy Confederation for her extraordinary commitment to moving physiotherapy steps forward in Ethiopia. Her passion is to make a difference and strives to serve her community diligently. She continues to lead with humility and focus on impact.

Jemila served as the first woman president of the Ethiopian Physiotherapy Association for three terms and works diligently on policy-making – advocating and creating awareness about physiotherapy and its importance.

Jemila earned her bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy from Gondar University.
