Empower Addis is a two-day event designed to inspire, educate, elevate and expand participants’ opportunity, allowing them to reach their highest potential. Following eight successful years of engaging the Ethiopian diaspora at the Washington DC Convention Center, the organizers are excited to launch Empower Addis in Ethiopia. The event will be held at Millenium Hall in Addis Ababa on November 16-17, 2024

AWiB will be participating in the inaugural event with Founder and Director, Nahu S. Girma facilitating a breakout session ‘Better You! Building your Self-confidence’ on Saturday, November 16 from 1 PM to 2:30 PM. The event will feature panels on leadership, entrepreneurship, technology, personal and business finance, career development, health & wellness, fashion, beauty and homeownership. Businesses, creatives and brands will have opportunities to connect with their core audiences through our curated marketplaces and activation areas. The event is designed to foster a sense of community in Ethiopia and across Africa.

Empower Addis’ goal is to unite barrier-breaking individuals from various industries and generations, visionary leaders and innovators to engage in meaningful conversations, provide a space for them to showcase their work and elevate their network.
