Tigist is a technical advisor for Gender equality, social inclusion, and policy implementation. She has been engaged in policy advocacy regarding the enactments of existing laws and policies on women empowerment and gender equality.

Tigist has also participated in the technical working group intended for advocacy and lobby of the Ministry of Education for the integration of life skill training into formal teaching and learning school curriculum led by UNESCO, representing organization in different national and international platforms through sharing best practices of women empowerment for Quality education.

Tigist is a certified trainer on life skill education, Gender transformative approach, advocacy, Meaningful youth participation, leadership, Media advocacy, and mobilizing support. She is passionate about women empowerment, advocacy towards gender equality. 

Tigist holds a Master of Public Health and Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing.
