The Leader in Me
I realized years ago that leadership was my path, but I struggled to find a clear roadmap and necessary mentorship. Joining the Haset Women’s Leadership Training Program changed everything for me. It was not just a series of workshops; it was an intense, immersive journey that reshaped my understanding of leadership, putting sustainable practices and real connections at the center of my purpose.
The program’s training quickly improved my professional impact. Instead of just solving problems, I learned to incorporate strategic governance into my work. This shift proved crucial when I analyzed and expanded our digital practices. I moved from simple rewrites to implementing Independent Oversight and Mandatory Hold Points in the Quality Management Plan. The Haset emphasis on sustainability also guided how we deployed the Proprietary Database System Owned Database System. I made sure the final phase focused entirely on building capacity and transferring ownership to the People Institutions for long-term grassroots advocacy. Additionally, I learned to reclaim my personal time by setting Time Management boundaries, including “No Interruption Time” to safeguard my focus and improve efficiency on important tasks.
At the core of the Haset experience was the strong sisterhood and networking opportunity it offered. The open and confidential nature of our meetings showed me that many others shared the personal and professional challenges I faced. This realization quickly alleviated my feelings of isolation. The overnight stays played a significant role in deepening our connection, allowing us to move from formal accountability to shared vulnerability and real trust. This supportive environment gave me the psychological safety I needed to advocate for tough strategic changes at work and to lead my digital volunteer group toward consistent collaborative accountability.
