Aynalem volunteers as an Environmental Officer for Lem Environment and Development Society of Ethiopia (Lem Ethiopia). With a strong track record in driving impactful initiatives in sustainable development and climate resilience, a Research Fellow at the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA), and a Project Coordinator, Aynalem has demonstrated expertise in leading climate change assessments, green economy initiatives, and community engagement for sustainable resource management. She is an adept facilitator of conflict resolution processes to address climate-induced tensions and promote sustainable peacebuilding.
With a focus on empowering youth in advocating for climate action and fostering collaboration for environmental sustainability, Aynalem has demonstrated valuable skills creating an environment for the youth to become agents of change and innovative solution instigators in climate actions.
Aynalem has earned MA in Development Studies from Addis Ababa University and a Bachelor of Science in Natural Resources Management from the University of Gondar.
