Financial Literacy
Financial Literacy is about knowing how to read the financial books, understanding rules & regulations, effectively communicating with your financial manager. It is about understanding what sectoral & national changes mean to your business & knowing your business inside and out.
Using practical exercises and interpretation of financial statements we can ‘lift the veil’ surrounding financial data. Once the veil is lifted & we have a strong financial knowledge we will be able to make informed decisions that enhance our financial health.
Outcome
Upon completion of the second session, participants will understand:
- The three pillars of finance: Financing, Investing, Operating Decisions
- How to do breakeven analysis for decision making
- Capital Budgeting through examples of cash outflows & inflows for projects
- Time value of money, Net present value calculation & Internal rate of return
