Bethlehem Negash

Bethlehem N. Woldeyohannes is a Media, Advocacy and Communications expert as well as Feminist Advocate & Writer, based in Addis Ababa.  Bethlehem is an active member of the Ethiopian Media Women Association (EMWA), an association founded by female media practitioners.

Bethlehem has a strong background in media, the first 7 years of her career being in journalism including working as journalist abroad, reporter at Times of Zambia & Zambia Daily Mail newspapers in Lusaka, Zambia.

Currently, Bethlehem works at the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and Empowerment of Women (UN Women) as team leader/program manager for Advocacy, Communication & Knowledge management unit.

Bethlehem holds BA Degree in Foreign Languages and Literature (English) from Addis Ababa University in Ethiopia and MA in Politics and the Mass Media from the University of Liverpool, United Kingdom.
